Is it possible to use the "IF" and "ROUND" functions in the same formula in Apple Numbers but I'm unable to find any help on this subject
I would like to use the "Round" function to limit the result to 2 decimal places (actual, not just visible) of a formula produced by an IF function in the same cell. I hope this makes sense to someone!
Hopefully this will link to a screenshot of the formula on my iPad, I haven't used full Numbers on the Mac as I have Excel https://www.flickr.com/gp/21543267@N05/sKdwk4
Thanks Slide-Rule but that thread doesn't seem to work for me..
My formula for A2 is.. IF(D4>1,A4×0.2,"")
If A4 = 405.53 the answer visible is 81.11 when formatted to 2 decimal places or 81.060 when formatted to 3. Formatting doesn't effect the actual result, just the visible result . I need the actual answer to be 81.11 regardless of format in cell A2 or the auto sum function for column 2 is wrong by 0.1
Fitzer you've sorted it thanks. Your iPad formula (without brackets) works a treat. I was putting too many brackets in. Murdo thanks for your efforts but you clearly operate on a different level to me and didn't really understand how to apply your theory to my context. Thanks to you both anyway, much appreciated
