Yamaha Restio Audio System/bluetooth Speakers

I have a isx-803d Restio audio system and I am trying to use iclever bluetooth speakers with it.I cannot get them to connect.I have downloaded the Yamaha app,but that does not help.There seem to be plenty of info regarding playing music,say,from you phone through the audio system,but none on using Bluetooth speakers.The Bluetooth specs for the audio system and the speakers seem compatable.

I have since found out that my audio syesem is Bluetooth4.1 and the speakers are 4.0.Could that be the reason that I cannot get them to pair ?

Mistake folks,the audio system is Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
