Whats the highest compression audio?

I have recently received my Sony Ericsson W800. It accepts the following file formats:

Audio:
MP3 (192 kbit/s for local playback); P4; M4A; 3GP (Audio encoded in AAC or AMR); AMR; WAV; G-MIDI (level 1 with 40 voices polyphony)

Which of these is the best compression and audio wise so as to maximise the space on the phone?

Big old hornets nest your asking to be opened there as eaqch person has a different opinion and different 'ears' if that makes sense.

Logic states that the higher the kbps the better the quality but you would be very surprised when you read

download.com are the longest established freeware/shareware website around and when they test stuff, you can be 99.99% that its on the ball and the ACOUSTIC result was better at 128Kbps than at 192Kbps

My tip.....download Itunes, and customise it in the PREFERENCES menu as you can set it to rip CD to aac/mp3/wav etc and find out what sounds best to you. I personally cant tell the difference so keep it MP3 @ 128kbps and alls well and good on my ipod
