Remove "my Recent Documents" From Computer

When I click the START button among the options that appear is "MY Recent Documents" button.
I didn't realise that this stored programs and files I recently viewed. This was potentially damaging to my business. Is there any way to remove this option from my computer or to at least disable it ?

A program called CCleaner (free) can delete things like this. Download then Install then run it to delete lots of temporary files and entries that Windows keeps.

When you first run it, go into 'Settings' and tell it exactly what you want it to delete when you click the 'Wash Now' button. (You'll only need to do that once). From then on, you'll be able to zap everything that you don't want to remain on your computer with just a few clicks.

I know Buenchico knows his stuff but i achieve the same thing simply by clearing out my downloads folder fairly frequently as most are not needed- eg Adobe files i viewed. I'm not sure what you mean by stored programmes you viewed
