I have a dictionary on cd, which I have to insert every time I want to use it.

I have a program called Virtual Daemon Manager. I know I can use this to fool my computer into thinking that the cd is in the drive (by creating a virtual drive.) That way, I don't have to keep inserting it when I want to use it.

I've already used this program to make virtual drives for iso and mds files (I don't really know what all these different files are, but I've managed to work out how to do it anyway). But my dictionary cd doesn't have any files like this, so I guess I need to turn it into an iso or mds or whatever.

Do I need to make another disk, or can I take my dictionary cd and make it an ISO/MDS without burning another disk (ie, just make that file on my pc and then mount it on a virtual drive)?

Can I do this with Nero? If so, how? If not, is there a free program that I can use to turn it into an ISO/MDS file?

Any help much appreciated.

In Nero select the CD you wish to copy then use
Recorder → Burn Image... to create an ISO.
If it's just a dictionary you are after you can download http://wordweb.info/ for free it puts an icon in the taskbar for easy access. Just double click the word then the icon to enter the word and a replace button to change error's in your spelling with one click. It also gives other information on the word. You can also buy a pro edition. It is the best free tool that I have downloaded yet.
