Further to THE last post, I've found out more. The cancer has spread to the liver and the bone, and there is no chance at all.
Been placed on palliative care from now, which is slighty off putting. Hoping i am well enough to go home next week as some things need sorting before it happens. Got a horrible feeling it will be sooner than later.

Sorry guys, bad news im afraid.
My cancer has spread and with the other issues bringing me down, not hopefull at all. Been told i could end up in intensive care and whether i want a DNR. Been advised to have one as it could be excrutiating otherwise.
Sorry.....

OK guys, looks like this is it.
I'm being sent home tomorrow. Apparently, nothing much can be done for my "infection" and it has been determined that the most likely reason why is because the rate the cancer has spread.
As such it's palliative care. Home first to try and sort some things out, then a local hospice for my last days - don't particularly want Chris to come down to my dead body, though part of me will miss her. We are talking about days or weeks.
Anyway, thank you all for being there these last eight years. Being housebound, you were my lifeline to the outside world, and made it all bearable. Many of you I never met, but wished I did.
Christine will post on my Facebook page when it happens.
If someone would post on answerbank, that too would be appreciated.
