Switching Isp
My ISP is BT.com. BB monthly usage less than 1GB and less than a dozen calls via landline. Cost £47 month. I am thinking of using my mobile for calls and thus lose my landline. That frees me up to switch to another ISP for BB. Does that sound possible IT wise? Am I forgetting anything? Kindly Tony.

OK I am not techie at all and my answer will probably be dismissed by other posters but if you have internet coming to the house you still have to have a landline (unless it's cable or dongle or something) that has to be paid for even if it's not to BT. Other thought is if you have a BT email address you will probably lose that after a while.
We pay TalkTalk £25 a month for fibre broadband and landline; you need a landline to carry the internet to your house with any ISP. We only use the landline for incoming calls as we find using our cellphone (with Tesco) is miles cheaper. We are, however, very infrequent telephone users - one call a month is not unusual.

The result was that I am now on an 18month Contract for the total sum of £33.49 per month, but with Superfast Fibre and Unlimited Telephone calls.
My approach to BT was to ask, if today I cancel you as my ISP, can I then sign-up tomorrow as a new customer at a more favourable rate than I am getting at present.
I was guaranteed a download speed of 36Mbps, but am regularly getting more than 48Mbps.
