If so then there is nothing you can do for this, as BB said the file is smaller to conserve space and therefore this also contains less information so the image becomes pixilatted.
You can alter the image using anti-aliasing software which will ''soften'' the edges and make the result better to look at although this will also make it look slightly less sharp. Photoshop can do this with the help of various plug-ins such as this which is not free, but I don't know if you can download something free from somewhere.
