Samsung Phones

Hi all
I have a Samsung s7 edge mobile that I originally purchased from new via a contract with 3. I'm now using it with a £20 a month sim, mainly for tethering other devices on a 100gb a month data allowance. I dropped the phone yesterday in a supermarket and it's now got extensive cracks on the screen but is otherwise working ok. Rather than getting the glass replaced, I'm thinking of buying a Samsung S8 via an Ebay seller who has sold hundreds of them in a new condition and has a 99.7% good feedback.
What I'd like to know is how easy is it to transfer my apps from one phone to the other? Can I do it via a USB cable as I've done before? The s8 uses a nano sim just like the s7, so is it as easy as moving the card from one phone to the other to get it up and running? Am I likely to encounter any problems during moving stuff across? The phone is unlocked to all networks.
Thank you.

Assuming that you set the new phone up with the same account details as the old one, then you apps will appear under "My Apps and Games" in the play store, in the Library tab, from where you can then simply download and install them. The most hassle-free way though, would be to back up you old phone to Google Drive, and restore it on the new phone - this will also allow you to easily transfer your contacts, etc.
