Cutting Tool

Appreciate this is probably a long shot but:
I have a tablet that ceased to work. It lights up with the Google sign on the screen initially but then the screen goes blank. I'm convinced it's a connection issue inside but the manufacturers have opted to seal the screen in so no one will touch it for repair. Deliberate tactic to ensure replacement and more sells, I'm sure.
I didn't want to damage it further but it's not useable at present so eventually took a deep breath and tried to open the metal case at the back with a Dremel. Turns out grinding tools clog up and the cutter I have can chip away the case but after two sessions and a removed corner on one side, I'm still not through !
Decided it probably needs the cutting disk used on it but not prepared to do that by hand as if & when it gets through it'll likely plough through the electronics behind at the same time. I need something adjustable that will take a cut say a tenth of a mm deeper at a time.
Anyone know anything out there that seems to fit the bill ? Not ridiculously expensive of course. I did see a plunge router attachment but the reviews suggested it wasn't great at holding the plunge depth. Anyway I was rather hoping to use a cutting disk as stated above.
TIA
