Whatsapp Web Problem

I like to mirror the Whatapp on my mobile onto my Android tablet. Larger screen, access to other things that I've surfed to on the Net, etc..

An issue that has occurred before but which I have previously stumbled my way though, somehow, is as follows:

I go to the browser tab with the WhatsApp web page. For some reason it's no longer showing groups/conversations. I need to reset it. (Darned pain in the neck.) I usually find I have to log out of devices on the mobile. Done that.

I am then selecting the WhatsApp web option on the mobile application and it starts trying to scan a QR code.

I go to the WhatsApp web page in the browser and it's decided not to show any QR code to scan. No doubt absolutely hilarious. But I'm missing the joke.

In the past I've been able to select Desktop Site in the browser menu, and on those occasions that has made a difference, but now Desktop Site is already selected. And deselecting it or reselecting it makes no difference this time. The WhatsApp website continues to refuse to show any QR code.

Very frustrating. Does anyone know the precise hoops one has to jump through to get it to act in a decent manner and show the code ? Somewhat sick of finding instructions on the web that pretends the code will show and is patronising enough to tell you that you have to scan it. That's blessed obvious. If it were displayed one wouldn't be looking for help would one !

Anyway hoping someone knows the trick. TIA

Interesting. Seems browser related.
Just tried with Firefox and requesting the Desktop Site, the code came straight up. Shall investigate further.

Just to say that even when the link is made, it doesn't seem to stay made for long. Go back to the WhatsApp web tab and it's no longer connected at the tablet end. Has to be a bug somewhere, but where :-(
