I'd like to upload an edition of a TV quiz show I was on, to YouTube. I have transferred the TV programme from TV recorder hard drive to DVD. The whole 45 minutes plays absolutely fine on my computer's DVD player. However, when I look at the DVD files on the computer, some are missing. There are 3 VOB files showing, which open in My Movie - Windows Live Movie Maker, but these only total about 8 minutes. There are a further 37 minutes worth of files missing. I can successfully convert the 8 minutes worth of VOB files to MP4 files and upload them to YouTube. My question is, how can I find the missing files (about 37 minutes worth)?

It might be worth trying to rip the DVD, using HandBrake, in the hope that HandBrake can 'see' the file that Windows Explorer can't: https://handbrake.fr/

Hi Buenchico. Thank you for your reply. I downloaded HandBrake and, hey presto, it worked! Thank you so much. Ironically though, after all that, when I tried to upload it to YouTube, it was blocked for copyright reasons. (It's The Chase, by the way). However, it's great to know that I've now got it stored on my harddrive as an MP4. Happy New Year. Lesley
