Connected Doro Magna 4000 Telephone But Screen Is Blank And I Can't Seem To Enter Contacts Etc

Hi just got a family member who is hard of hearing a Doro Magna 4000 telephone and I have connected it up, plugged it in to the wall socket and put batteries in, rang phone from mobile and it is ringing, but is not showing anything on the screen, call number etc. I can't even see anything when I try to put contact numbers in the telephone, also how do I stop the red light flashing when someone has called. Thanks in advance.

That sounds as if the batteries haven't been inserted properly. Take them out to check.
