Screen Shots Are No Longer Saving To Screen Shot Folder

In the past when I needed to save a screen shot I pressed the Windows key + Print screen and the image was automatically saved in the folder Libraries/Camera Roll/'Screen Shots' .

Without any (known) intervention from myself the screen shots are no longer automatically saved to the Screen Shot folder but now being saved to the clip board which means I have to manually copy/paste into a Word document then save which is inconvenient and time consuming. The folder is still there but empty, despite testing with multiple screen shots non are being saved to the file.

I have trawled the internet for a solution without success and hope one of AB's captive Tech geeks may be able to help.

Do you have the Cloud storage APG? they may be in there, other than that try clearing the cache and data in your settings , good luck

my screenshots are automatically saved in a folder called screenshots

Mine have always gone to the paste buffer. Surprised that they can be set to go somewhere automatically.

Maybe you used to press the Windows key too, judging from jno's link.

Update: Thankyou to jno for providing the link that eventually partially solved the problem.
Firstly I realised I no longer had the System file 'Screenshots' in my library. I then realised that I'd probably deleted it by mistake when I transferred a batch of photos into a different location. Apparently you can't just move THE screenshot file to another location you have to create a folder then move it to the folder otherwise it deletes itself.
I found out from the link that Windows creates a Screenshot file when you first use the Windows + prt sc button and if you inadvertently delete this file you can create a new one by going into the RegEdit , finding the DWORD value Screenshotindex and resetting the Screenshot sequential numbering back to 1.
I've done this and low and behold the ScreenShot folder is back in the libraries.
The issue now is that although I now have back the Screenshot folder in the library, its empty, and any screen shots are still going to the clip board and not the folder
