Wd 1Tb My Passport Portable Hard Drive.

In 2010 I bought one of the above to back up the hard drive on my Windows 7 PC but forgot to use it as regularly as I ought. This particular version has been superceded, I think.

I am now running Windows 10 and have forgotten how to use the thing, having added loads of stuff on the PC in the meantime. In very simple terms how do I transfer everything on my PCs HD to the portable HD ? I still have about 675GB free.

How did you back up files on the Windows 7 PC? If you used Windows Backup then this should help:

If you used backup software that came with the portable drive then you'll have to install it on the Windows 10 machine.
