I have recently set up a logitech webcam on my PC with a built in microphone. When trying to speak to my partners parents up scotland there is a lot of squeeling noises. We both have exactly the same webcam and i didn't know if they were conflicting with each other. The microphone works fine when the other one is muted and vice versa. Using MSN Messenger by the way

I would suggest muting both microphones and using msn for the speech (start voice conversation) and for the cam. If that does not work then try using msn for the voice and yahoo messenger just for the cam at the same time - works brilliantly!

Oh sorry you would need a headset with built in microphone ..... but it really works brilliantly they are about 12 from Dixons

Sounds like feedback caused by speakers being too close to the microphone? Tha's why a lot of people use a headset. Try to get your speakers away from the microphone or turn the speaker volume down.
