this should be in techie - here goes. Ok looked up at how to do screenshot which is basically taking a photo of the page

ie told to hit windows key and print screen. the page turns dark for split second - that's the photo I am assuming.

Where then do I find the screen shot. Thanks

If you are using a Windows desktop or laptop you need to open the Paint app and paste it there by right clicking on a new page and clicking 'paste'.

no I am lost - went into all I can find is documents, pictures etc in the File Explorer - I am on Windows PC.

- Control and P - nothing comes up.

when i open my file explorer there's a folder called screenshots?

after you have done the print screen have you tried opening a word document and doing control and V on the word doc?

Control + P is to print but you want to use control + V to paste.

JJ, click on the Windows icon bottom left of the screen and scroll down the list programs to find Paint or Paint 3D. Open that.
Click on 'new'.
Your cursor will look strange on the blank page but that is fine. Right click your mouse and click 'Paste'.
Now click the menu top left of the Paint app and click 'save as'.
Click the 'image' pane and in the box that opens type the name you want to call it and choose where you want to save it to - pictures, documents, desktop - whatever suits you

When I click on the yellow folder on my desktop page it takes me to the page where it says documents downloads pictures and below that is my OneDrive which also has documents pictures folders etc and my screenshot are in this picture file in a folder called 'screenshots'.
