Browsers - Other Than The 'Big 5'
10 Answers
Recently ive found that if i open a few different browsers, and use them for different things - such as 1 for youtube videos, 1 for social media, 1 for finance, 1 for podcasts, 1 for various interests, 1 for downloading etc, my computer is super fast -each browser only has a few things open so theres no lagging etc
(I tend to have a few windows and loads of tabs open, which is fine, but this is better)
So I was wondering if anyone had used any other of the lesser known browsers & could recommend any for certain uses?
for instance, ive heard Brave is excellent for security, Maxthon has some good UI features etc etc,. Does anyone know which might have some other unusual features? built in controls etc?
Trouble is, I now have a list of about 20+ browsers & want to save some time in testing them.
A few seem obsolete now, but many of them seem pretty decent, good reviews etc.
So any ideas?
Thanks :)

It's Chromium-based, so you can use Chrome plugins with it, but it comes with a built-in ad blocker (which can, of course, be disabled when using The Answerbank, etc) and a built-in YouTube video downloader, as well a download manager and many other features.

I've used Vivaldi in the past and I like it. I've not bothered to install it on my current machines, simply because I'm happy enough with Slimjet. However you might like to consider it:

If you're obsessive about privacy, Epic might be worth a try. It tends to score better in reviews than Brave does:

^^^ I do use Firefox, Atheist but mainly because it's got an exceptionally good YouTube downloader plugin for it (which requires a small donation to the developer in order to get its full functionality). That allows me to select the video resolution that I want or to simply opt to extract the audio as an MP3 file. So it's somewhat better than the more basic YouTube downloader that comes built into Slimjet.
However Firefox doesn't really seem to have kept pace with other browsers in its development and it can sometimes become rather resource-hungry. So, although I used Firefox as my main browser for many years, I now prefer to use Slimjet most of the time.
