Greetings, once again!

My usual 'middling' FOUR out of seven in the main quiz this week. (Two of those that I got wrong referred to stories that I'd read but, alas, my little grey cells had failed to retain the relevant bits of information):
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-65976860

'Middling' again for me in the junior quiz, with THREE out of five this week:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780

Just a lowly THREE out of ten for me in the Timed Teaser though :(
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65946459

So, as I've only achieved an aggregate score of 10 this week, I reckon that nearly everyone will beat me easily. Will you be one of them, I wonder?

Good Evening, Chris!
My scores are
5/7, 3/5, 5/10
Your visits to the gardens sounded lovely, I hope your friends enjoyed them too.
This hot weather has kept me from doing jobs in my own garden unless it's to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! I did have my son's new puppy over last weekend and he loved exploring inside and outside, so that was fun. He was very well behaved so can come again. Hope all is well with you and kitties :-)
Evening chris.

Good evening, Karamia.

I was beginning to wonder if everyone had gone on holiday!

Well done on beating me easily this week ;-)

Margaret, Boby and I managed to visit 11 of the gardens on view in Grundisburgh two Sundays back and then Margaret and I went around 8 more gardens (plus a lovely flower festival in the church) in Flowton last Saturday. (Boby had returned to Italy by then). It was very tiring in the heat on both days but well worth the effort. (At a fiver a throw for a full afternoon's pleasure, the events were both incredibly good value for money too!).

Enjoying a glass of wine is definitely the best job to be done in any garden at this time of the year (or, indeed, at any time of the year), in my opinion ;-)

The kitties and I are all fine, thank you. I hope that you're in fine fettle too!

I WANT TO SEE SOME PUPPY PHOTOS!

Hi, Sam!

Thank you for allowing me to have someone to beat this week ;-)

You definitely need to work on bringing out your inner child before next week though, I think ;-)

Hi again, hope you are not wilting in the humidity. I've had to buy more flowers for the church (I'm on flowers in June)thanks to them wilting. Mutter, cheesed etc.. :(
A bit better this week. 5/7 3/5 5/10 = 13 aggregate. Haven't looked at the other 16/1y7/18s yet. Happy weekend everyone.

Fine scores from the mighty Lie-in King, as always!

Well done!

Patsy has managed to beat LiK though! Very well done indeed, Patsy!

Thanks for keeping me company this week, Haras2!

I hope that Shady has been living up to his name and staying in the shade. It's been far too warm for staying out in the sun for long this week. (My lot have been hating the heat and humidity, especially poor old Chequers, who's fat and has a very thick coat).
Good evening, Not too bad this week, I so wanted to be wrong with Ed Sheeran.

Hi Jourdain2!

Well done on beating me easily this week.

The cats and I are definitely not fans of humidity! It's meant to rise to about 85% here overnight, meaning that it's going to be hard to get any sleep again!

I think that you'd have enjoyed the flower festival in Flowton church last weekend. Each display was by a different person, with a different theme. Those themes were based around the activities of the church, such as 'Music', 'Coffee mornings', 'Weddings', 'Funerals', etc. There were some very inventive displays!

I hope that you have a good weekend (and, indeed, week ahead).

Hi, Arky!

Ed Sheeran's a local lad here in Suffolk, so we're constantly getting bombarded with news about him from our local media.

Well done on going joint top of the table, with Patsy!

Hiya, Kwillmott! We're equally childlike this week, at least ;-)

Good evening, Milo2. Well done on sneaking ahead of me by a single point this week!

Thanks, Chris. 'Flower Festivals' are much underrated. I'm not good enough to do that sort of display, I think, but in our small village we have 2 County Champions who nick the big Festivals (Easter and Harvest) and produce displays which attract photographers from all around. MrJ2 had never visited a Flower Festival until we moved here and he was completely stunned by the effects. He was knocked even more sideways when he walked into our little Norman Church to do his 'brass-polishing' stint the other year and saw the sheer technology, hardware, blooms and greenery assembled for the Easter production by these ladies.
He had had no idea and so, I suspect have few people. I must add that although it was ladies doing the arranging (and I have known a fair few of chaps who do it) the muscle and tech. was supplied by their menfolk.
Anyway, against that background, my bunches of flowers are punt efforts - but I have learned to up my game. :)
Good evening, chico. 3,2,5 tonight so the same aggregate as you once again. I also had read a few of the stories but mot taken the information on board!

I couldn't find any photos online from this year's flower festival in Flowton, Jourdain2, but here are a few from a previous year. (Don't ask me what the theme was though!):

Hi, Roo!

Thanks for keeping me company again ;-)

I always take in every single little fact from a news story - but then I promptly forget it anyway ;-)
