Uninstall Chrome
Been having a couple of problems with Chrome - says that sync is paused and I need to sign in. Do this but I still get a message telling me to sign in. The other is every time I open chrome there is a message "Chrome didn't shut down properly, restore pages ?" I just close the box it apears in. Sorry to be so longwinded but if I uninstall Chrome and then re-install will I retain my bookmarks etc ?? Any help greatly appreciated.

No worries! Let's address your Chrome issues step by step:
Sync Paused Issue: If Chrome says sync is paused even after signing in, try these steps:
Open Chrome and click on your profile picture in the top right.
Click "Turn on sync" and follow the prompts to sign in again.
If the issue persists, ensure you have a stable internet connection and check Chrome's sync settings to see if any options need adjusting.
Chrome Didn't Shut Down Properly: This message usually appears when Chrome was not closed properly. You can ignore it by closing the box, or:
Click "Restore pages" to reopen tabs from your last session if needed.
To prevent this message, ensure Chrome closes correctly each time by exiting through the Chrome menu (⋮ > Exit).
Regarding uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome:
Bookmarks and Data: Uninstalling Chrome usually removes all data unless you specifically choose to keep it during uninstallation. To retain your bookmarks and settings:
Before uninstalling, ensure your bookmarks are synced with your Google account.
After reinstalling Chrome and signing in with the same Google account, your bookmarks and other synced data should automatically restore.
