Nailedit – I have always attempted to be supportive and offer advice to you. Whilst I might have sympathy for your situation, I am sorry to say I cannot really sympathise this time. You say you got “caught up in” and there was an “adrenaline rush”. Those are explanations and are no justification and seeking to minimise your participation like that does you no favours.
Two very good friends and colleagues of mine were threatened and terrified in two different incidents with rioters and protesters, simply for doing their jobs which were completely unrelated to any immigration issue. The actions of the “mob” had a significant impact on people going about their daily business. Whilst you will probably be home by lunchtime, I hope that you consider that being caught up in such an incident with an adrenaline rush impacts significantly on innocent people who do not deserve to be targeted or terrified.
You have generally always come across as a kind person, although life may not have been kind to you. Perhaps considering the consequences of your actions might be more in keeping with that kindness and may well serve you better in front of a bench.
You will probably not like what I have said, but I am not going to blow smoke up your bottom when I think you are really wrong.
BM, you have actually been far to kind to me on this occassion 😁.
I took loads of videos on the day in question and gave the police far to much verbal. As the day went on (and I took more vids) I got more verbal. Im sorry, but when I see a uniform, I cant help myself. I just see see red, the times that the police have give me black eyes (the steps were wet m'lud) stiches in my head (he was resisting arrest and banged his head on the kirb...despite the fact that I was already in a cell...) breaking my wrist ( He twisted his wrist while handcuffed...eh?)
But admittedly, I did give the police a bit of verbal.
