The Weather Wreaks Havoc In Spain

... do you have any tales of ghosties, ghoulies - (not to be confused with goolies) - and things that go bump in the night? Are you a believer - or is it a load of old rubbish?
To set the scene - I lived in a haunted house. I really did.

People want to believe but in reality nothing "paranormal" has ever beeb verified. There is always a rational explanation, 99% of the time it's trickery and cold reading. The late James Randi offered $1m dollars to anyone who could do any of the WWOTB under proper test conditions. Needless to say the money was never claimed.
I wish I had actual tales to tell, though I'm fascinated by the paranormal.
Many years ago, my then partner and I bought a Victorian house in Brooklyn. The wife of the owner had seen what she believed were British soldiers of the revolutionary war period marching in the corner of the lower floor dining room. Apparently the house was set at a road frequently used by the opposition during that period. We lived there for 2 years and never experienced anything.
Yes many years ago we lived in a haunted house... all of us had personal experieneces but we never as a family spoke about it whilst living there. A neighbour across the road years later told Mum that even after she'd seen us all go off to work, school etc... she'd see a dark shadow of a man behind the net curtains in the front bedroom.
The Lady that bought the house after us only lived there three months... it was too scary.
We have a resident ghost on the farm. Apparently a farm worker died in one of the sheds a long time ago, and many people have reported hearing tackety boots walking through the shed. Even the very sensible Mr Planks has heard something.
I'm sure it could all be explained away by logic and science, but we're quite fond of Old Geordie. We even leave him a glass of whisky on Hogmanay. He's yet to drink it!
I once worked in a pub that it was claimed had the ghost of a dead canadian soldier in it. The pub was bombed and some canadians were in it at the time but anyone can look that up and make up ghost stories. I never saw it and neither did anyone I know who worked their but a bit like 2SP it's a fun talking point not to be taken too seriously.
another instance was with my eldest Brother who used to live in an old farmhouse... his dog at the time would often go to the corner of his living room and be looking up at something that seemed to be floating across the living room and steadfast staring at it following, he'd do that often, nothing there to us.. but he'd only start barking as whatever it were went behind a wall in the corner.
Hazlinny, Hearing footsteps in rooms upstairs, front door slamming hard and 'hobnail boots' crashing up the stairs, houseplant leaves 'dancing', 'someone' walking in the hall beside my no-longer highly skeptical husband early mornings, pictures jumping off shelves, garden door sounding like it was being kicked in, clocks and watches occasionally going back an hour all on the same day.... it was horrible - and guests experienced it too despite never having been told about it.
