Lovely story 🐶

naomi,  thank you. My final dog was a lurcher and so loving. Long may Sarah and her new family have a lovely life time together.

🥰

Lots of examples of rescue homing on Facebook. Some of the videos are heartbreaking but inspirational when you see dogs which are totally withdrawn and frequently terrified turn into lovely friendly family dogs.  It's amazing though how many adoptees are returned to the pound when the adopters get fed up with them or can't cope with early behaviour problems (these do seem to be predominantly American, so perhaps pre-homing investigations are less vigorous).

I'm sure the one featuring in the OP won't have any such problems.

A dog is for life, not just for Christmas !
