Anyone know something useful that can be done with cacao nibs (raw) ?

Someone, who shall remain nameless, got a reasonably large bag of these things, (I'm unsure why, but suspect the difficulty grating chocolate to use to sprinkle on coffee, might be involved). But these things sure ain't chocolate, they don't melt as I've tried. They seem to be simply bits of cocoa bean; but a web search suggest they need both further grinding (possible) and pressure treatment (not practical) to even make cocoa powder !  They can be eaten, taste ok, but crunching down on them ain't particularly wonderful.

Any reasonable suggestions that don't require much in the way of chef skills (apart from binning them) gratefully received.

Cheers.

They won't melt because they are raw. To make chocolate the beans are roasted and processed. Think of it like potato - mash is lovely but not if the potatoes are raw.

You can eat raw nibs as a snack, as a topping, in porridge or use them in a smoothie.

I don't like them so would put them straight in the bin

I've just read a little bit about them. They are "generally safe to eat" (uh-huh, bin is looking enticing), eating large amounts, how large is not clear, can cause nervousness, increased urination, and at that point, your honour, they were binned.
