Flash playing up on my digital camera

Ive had my polaroid PDC 3035 digital camera for approx 18 months now, and have started to get problems with the flash. It doesn't always go off when I want it to or only flashes once now whereas it should flash twice, meaning the pictures are still too dark. Taking photos outside is obviously no problem and I can still get good quality pictures but indoor shots are difficult. Does anyone know whats wrong and if it's worth getting it repaired, or whether purchasing a new camera would be cheaper in the long run?? Unfortunately, the warranty is already up on this one!, Cheers x
