I am getting various error msgs when copying dvd's. I use DVD shrink & the films encode ok, but will not copy through Nero. If I uninstall the Nero Program (Express6) & reinstall (by disc) will it cause any problems to my PC ? Alternatively could I download Nero for free anywhere else ? (Using Windows xp)

Various Error Messages is a little vauge peterd.

Does Nero attempt to write and then fail during burning, or won't it even let you get that far?

I'm not familiar with DVD Shrink but I assume it will output VOB files in a Directory for you to burn as a DVD, or does it give you an MPEG file or even perhaps an ISO or BIN/CUE?

It will depend on what file you have, and how in Nero you are trying to transfer it to DVD, e.g. Using the DVD feature of Nero, or just putting the files on the disc using a Data Type DVD?

Unistalling Nero *shouldn't* cause any problems to your PC at all, but of course there are no guarantees with anything! Its straight forward to do. You can download Nero from their website, although you will have to buy a licence if you do not already have one.
