Transfering MP3 music files from iTunes to Windows Media Player

Can someone tell me if it's possible to transfer music files from iTunes to Windows Media Player and vice versa and if so how you do it? I've tried doing it but it always comes up with something about it being the wrong file type. Thankyou.

Just find out where your music is being stored, and drag it into media player. though why you'd want to go from iTunes to media player is beyond me ;)

the default location for music stored by iTunes is c:/documents and settings/[username]/my documents/my music/itunes/itunes music

I watched on The Gadget Show that the way to do it was to burn the tracks onto a CD then put them back onto your computer and they would be as normal, ready to play on Windows Media Player. However I dont have iTunes so i'm not sure how to do this, sorry.

Ace's suggestion is if you've bought music from the iTunes Music Store.

My advice, as ever, is still to NEVER buy music from any of the major music stores. Not while they're crippled with DRM.
