Sky digital box Help

I have had to buy a refurb sky box as my old one packed in...I currently subscribe to sky however my viewing card wont work with the new box and I was told that it only works with the original box it was issued with...surely this cant be right and I can have the new box work with my original card....does anyone know how to tune it in or program the box to accept my card

Same thing happened to me not long ago when my digibox packed in.

The card is tied to one box at a time, rather than to just the original box.

All you need to do is phone Sky and tell them you have got a new digibox and they will swap it over for you - it only takes a few minutes and will probably be working again before you hang up the phone.
