Computer Audio device

I have lost the sound on my computer and find that the audio device is knocked off.
Does anyone know how to connect the audio device back on again. I would be grateful for any comments.

try re-installing the drivers. if your pc can't find them, you'll have to download the drivers for either your soundcard or your motherboard. to find out the type of sound card/motherboard, download & run Aida32 (which will tell you all about your system), then go to the maker's website & get drivers.
