I've bought a PC tower from a friend and now I've set it up with my monitor, the desktop is too big to fit in the screen. However, when I move the mouse to the edge of the screen, the desktop scrolls along so I can actually reach everything. It just won't fit into the monitor and it's driving me mad! Please can anyone suss this one out? Thanks!

Is it not just a case of adjusting your monitor?

Steve
it is a case of monitor adjustment with its controls or change your monitors resolution
One option is to change the monitor resolution and see if that helps.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties then Settings.

Change the screen resolution and see what difference than makes.

Try 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.

If that makes no difference, then as others have said, try changing the phyical size of the display with the button on your monitor.
