ipod problem

Hi iv just been told by itunes that my ipod is corrupt and need restoring . Iv restored the ipod and lost all my music but when booting itunes up again i get the same message. Iv also noticed that in my computer its not listed as Ipod its listed as removable disk G but when i try it in another computer it comes up as ipod

can anyone help me all my itunes and windows is up to date
