Sharing Microsoft Access file
I need to share a Microsoft Access file on two computers on a home network, I don't use access normally so I don't know my way around it, It appears to not save files as MS word would for instance, I cant find where it saves the files or how to change where the files are saved, I also need to put these files on to CD, HELP!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.you need to open the database, then click on tools > Options > Click on the Advanced tab and make sure that 'Default Open Mode' is set to shared. this will allow it to be opened by two people at the same time.
As for saving it it doesnt work like word, once you have created a database, it will stay in the place until it is moved (not via MS Access) , Click on Start > Search and do a search of files called *.mdb.This should find all MS Access Database file which you can then move to where ever you want from here.
Just to point out once you copy an ms access file onto cd it becomes read only, so you cant change anything unless you change the properites of the file and disable the read only option once you have copied it onto your harddisk.
