Upgrading Internet Explorer 6 to version 7

Is it possible to download Explorer 7 without wrecking McAfee Security Centre, please? My PC came loaded with Internet Explorer 6 and McAfee and when I downloaded the upgrade it wrecked McAfee and I had to restore to both originals. I have attempted to obtain advice from Microsoft and McAfee but have given up without success

What do you mean by 'wreck'?

I advise you to uninstall McAfee, install Internet Explorer 7, and then install McAfee.

Thank you Koster. Downloading I E 7 resulted in McAfee virus scan to be disabled, produced an error message and degraded 2 items of software. I am worried in case McAfee cannot work with I E 7.
