I ran a full system scan with AVG earlier , it turned up 90 traces but when I tried to delete them i got "errors have been occurred while applying the actions" i then ran a fast scan which allowed me to delete half of them . Then ran a full scan again & still have the error. Also i can't turn my laptop off. Any ideas?

If you are running windows XP there are several things to try.
1.Boot laptop to safe mode and then run AVG.This will allow AVG to work better
2 Go to system restore and reset to a time maybe a few days ago when all was well.

Also important to run something like Spybot or Ad-Aware to get rid of nasties.
