I can't seem to watch video's on the BBC website on my Mac computer; the options for viewing are either Real or Windows media. As I don't want to download real player I have installed a flip4mac plug-in but I still can't get the video's to play.
Any help is appreciated.

flip4mac doesn't work everywhere; browser plugins can be particularly troublesome.

I use real player, and it all plays fine when you use this. It's just annoying that the BBC use proprietary formats.

Any reason you don't want to use real player? For what it's worth, it's not like the real player for windows -- it's actually quite a tidy program and doesn't interfere with anything else. Works well.

Thanks for your help fo3nix. The last time I downloaded real player it was on a my old laptop running Windows XP and it took over (or felt like it). Now I have my lovely new Mac I will take your advice and try it again.
You would think a site like the BBC would have a stand alone player by now.
They should either use a flash player like Youtube and the others do, or just have a more open format, that uses Quicktime for the plugin perhaps.
