rojjash I agree your with you but how can I get the file on the floppy to open after having 2007 office installed .Would I have to open it up in office 2003 to get it back using a friends computer who has office 2003 on it ,also if succesfully opening it in 2003 how can I then introduce it as a file in 2007 hope this makes sense to you and a I appreciate your help
I'm still not really following. Surely if you just click OK it opens in 2007? Then it would like you to save it in 2007 format for future use, but because it's currently in 2003 format, it assumes that you want to save it in an older format, and warns you that you MAY have used some 2007 features that are not available in 2003.
If instead of clicking save, you click save as it should happily save it in 2007 format.
