windowblinds playing up

i installed windowblinds 5 earlier but the skins arn't working properly, when i select a skin and press apply skin, it does something, then the skin is the classic windows skin which i dont like, i dont know why this is happening then it says its done it but it hasn't and its really annoyong my now,
