Most digital cameras have a FIREWIRE output and to transfer video to PC you nee a firewire cable and the PC must have a firewir port.

If you are certain that your camer has USB output, then you will need a USB capture card in your PC
Am I missing something? but the obvious answer is. Plug one end of the USB cable, you most likely got with your camera.(there should be place to plug it into on the camera) Then plug the other end into your USB port on your computer. (this should set your camera software into action). I have a card reader on my computer so I find it easier to take the memory card out of my camera, slide it into the card reader and away it goes.
Misread the post - took it to be a CAMCORDER
