Virus from eBay?

Is it possible that the virus my anti-virus wear detected tonight could have come from eBay? It was the only site I had looked at and I had received a spam message for an item I was selling.

It's unlikely to have come from eBay. It's more likely to have been on the spam. But you could receive a virus any time your computer is switched on and connected to the internet.
