copy and paste problem

if I want to copy and paste an answer / joke from AB, how can I do it without getting everything on the screen pasted as well?

press the L/H mouse button at the beginning of the message, hold the Ctrl button down and click the L/H mouse button once to highlight. Then go to FILE and COPY.

Or place the cursor over the text and treble left click to select the text.
