when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

I haven't got round to the sloe gin ones yet. I may never do - I must remember these chocolates aren't actually mine.
Oh deep joy, have finally got my Pacha 1967 poster framed, it cost Mr N 45€ and it is wonderful, I love it.
Oh please ..stop .....I can't eat much chocolate these days or icecream .Sob.
Well I can but I know I'll suffer for it .
Lovely sunny day at Shaneytowers .Lull before the storm though. Hope you're all Ok .
The church wants 50 quid for the upkeep of the chancel from all the residents in the vicinity according to a very official looking letter we've received .They have no chance of getting it .Someone with nothing better to do has tried to invoke an ancient law upon us ...lol..I expect people paid with a bag of grain back in the middle ages .
I wonder if they'll accept a packet of Uncle Bens in lieu.

just do what i do and go buy another box

ooh, sounds like the 1347 Lex de Chauncel there... those who don't pay have to go to Walsingham on their knees, though they can send a servant in their place.
pretty place Walsingham, the traffic might make the on your knees bit a bit risky though.
I'm not a churchgoer but I like looking round churches though and don't mind contributing to the upkeep of them when I've visited ,with a donation but I refuse to pay for this happy clappy chappy who has vandalised our lovely Norman church by ripping out the lovely old pews and replacing them with hideous plastic chairs .He's also ditched the bellringers so people getting married get a tinny recording of bells and the bell no longer tolls for funerals .
The older members and hard core of his flock are not happy according to one lady I know who's been attending there for years. She said to me they might as well wheel Cliff Richard in as it's gone all tambourines and Jesus wants me for a sunbeam ..hahaa.
I stopped going to church when they became all kissy your neighbour and happy clappy. I'll kiss anyone but when i want to! Mind you have been thinking of going to a gospel church cos I like the Black singing and that happy clapping "Oh happy day".

When older sister was buying her little cottage she found that she was in a church area where she had to contribute a stipend yearly, but her lawyer got it struck off. Sister isn't best pleased with God at the moment, what with her dying and her son getting cancer twice.
I dare she is feeling a bit disillusioned Neti .I know I was when things in my life didn't seem fair and I turned away.I sometimes wish I could summon up my faith again but I think it's too late now ..lol. Strange though that I can go into a church and get that feeling that there is something .
I do like a bit of gospel music though ..it's very uplifting .
Have you ever listened to Ladysmith Black Mambazo..They're brilliant .
I'm not very religious either but I always pray to whoever's looking after me because I feel lucky in lots of ways in my life.
I respect others religion as long as they aren't fanatics. I had a chat with the New owner of the paper shop about being a Muslim. I found it really interesting.

Been on a lovely walk today from Swarkeston to Findern 2 villages round Derby. I'll put a photo on when I get round to it.

Cuppa tea time now. See ya later!

when I was in Christchurch NZ earlier this year I went to see the cathedral, badly damaged in the quake. The locals were all for repairing it (at huge expense, it must be said) as it's a symbol of the town, which is very C of E. Not the bishop, though. She thinks the quake was a gift from God giving her the opportunity to build herself a fancy new cathedral. And she had turned down an offer of restoration funds from the world Anglican community. Her parishioners aren't impressed at all.
God must cry sometimes about people and their concern over buildings. Neti I understand how your sister feels, I used to do a lot of swearing but it didnt make god go away.

I have got home made chicken soup with rice for tea. its pretty good.
I am the same as shaney when I go into a church (usually for the Xmas creche) never sightseeing, I get a religious feeling but I am a Christian, just don't go here. I think it's good to think that there is someone who is there for you when all else fails, and yes I do pray, and I remember to pray when things are going well also.
Am cautiously enthusiastic re bedroom, have the prints on the wall and the bedhead (white trellis) and it is looking OK. Will get all the bedding out tomorrow. Mr N peered at my photocopies of my pillowcases that I use as prints and he said oh it's crooked, but when I explained how I had done it, he was a tad impressed. I will redo them when house is back to normal. Waiting for the furniture to come now (for the lounge!)
I did go sightseeing in the Russian churches, we had no choice and they are magnificent.
there is a fresco'd church like this near St Albans's. the frescos were painted over though so not so well preserved. I visited it as a child the year that the frescos were found.
