Non genuine windows problems

Hiya
on my pc i have a non genuine copy of windows ( im guessing) and up untill now i am having problems . eveytime i turn on my pc it says i need to buy a genuine version . also my windows excel is not working . all the others are like word and powerpoint but just excel is not working . it always has untill now . i dont no if this is to with my other problem above or not . When i click on excel it comes up is says " please wait while widnows configures this . . ." and then it cant find anything and so wont work. i need excel and wondered if anybody knew of anyway i can get it back working without uninstalling it and re installing a genuine copy.

You best solution would be to download openoffice,org which is completely free and will work with excel, word powerpoint, and other MS format files. Just type openoffice.org into google.

Have you cosidered switching to Linux? Theres plenty choices out there some as easy as Windows to use.

if you bought the PC new from a shop/retailer with Windows already installed, then they have to provide you with a licence key, as they have not provided you with a legal copy of Windows. There should be a licence sticker which corresponds to the version of Windows you are using stuck on the case.

If you bought the PC second hand, then I guess you will have to purchase a licence.

As for excel, if you don't have the original installation media, to reinstall it, then consider Open Office as already suggested from www.openoffice.org.

hi if it was working before use system restore take your comp back to the date it was working do that click start all programmes accessories system tools system restore and take you computer back to the date everyting was working ok hope this helps
