Search that works?

Answerbank's search facility seems unable to find postings. For example, if I were to search for azed 1819 I would be told that there are
No Search Results Found for "azed 1819"
But there is as a Google search for the same thing will show at www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puzzles/Question391787.html .

This is only one example of how search seems unable to find questions. Searching just for azed gives 297 results in a very odd order, making it virtually impossible to use.

Hi stephem. Make sure when you search you are searching the whole of AB and not an individual topic Eg It should read 'Search the site' and not 'Search AB Suggestions'

Thanks for that hint. Unfortunately with 'Search the site' I still don't get any results for azed 1819 even though I posted a question there myself today so that there should be 2 results.

stephem I'm relatively new here so my suggestions may be limited ok... ...Have you tryed looking at 'my profile' then viewing the 'Threads I'm involved in'....If its not there it may have been banned.

I checked 'Threads I'm involved in' and my questions are all there. Also someone else's 'azed 1819' question is there if I search for it via Google, but not there if I use this site's search.

In other words, search is not finding questions that are there. Checking whether someone else has asked a question before asking myself thus becomes impossible unless Google is used.

Please don't think that I don't value your suggestions, they are appreciated.

Sometimes the search works for me, sometimes it doesn't. All I can suggest is keep trying.
