i have changed to vista from xp and my computer is giving me nothing but trouble,a i have no sound (it does not recognise my audio chip) and the screen freezes but does clear itself after eventually.
I would like to say I am sorry, but a little bit of research would have told you that moving from XP to Vista is NOT a good idea, as many people have said on these forums.
If you search on Vista in Answerbank you find LOADS of people saying do not upgrade.
Unfortunately, there is no way of uninstalling the Vista "upgrade". You will need to start from scratch with your XP disks, and as VHG pointed out, take a bit more care before jumping onto the next passing bandwagon.
i bought the computer with a free vista offer which i had to send off for and then install myself, being a pensioner i took the offer at face value, how can someone get away with selling a product as unreliable as this, is it not covered by the trades description act
Yeah, alot of people are scared of new technology! Hands up who is still using Windows 95! lol
Just update your sound card drivers, and all should be fine. XP got the same response when it first come out.
potatoeman vista doesnt have drivers for all hardware dont get me wrong its a nice looking os but its no where near ready i uninstalled after a week xp is by far the best os around dont go near vista for at least a year or untill at least the next service pack
