Audio timing changes in my mpeg movie when editing

I am using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 to create a DVD movie and the clips I'm using are in mpeg format. The clips are only short, less than 20 seconds long so I'm putting them together to make a joint video. However, when I do this two of the clips lose their audio timing - ie the people are speaking out of time to the audio. I can't understand why this is happening - all my other clips are fine and I don't really want to leave them separte on the DVD disk as they are so short as mentioned earler. Anybody use this software that can help? Cheers!!

Because a CPU allocates time slots to processes, it can have a bad effect on video and audio merging and editing,.

If you have alot running in the background you will definitely get this out of sync happening. My vote is close down everything you have running except the editing software and set the priority of the program to Realtime.

Do this by right clicking the clock and selecting task manager. Go to the program in question and right click then go to set priority and select realtime.

This will alocate a time slot for the cpu as soon as its needed, instead of just moving it up the que.

Its a bit long winded i know but it makes a difference.

Also if you have a Hyper Threading Cpu, turn it off cause it plays havoc with single thread applications.
