CD/DVD drive problem

When I try to save to either the CD or DVD drives I get a message that says "You do not have access to the folder f (or d) see your administrator for access to this folder."
I'm the only user of the computer & I'm set up as administrator. Both these drives have worked OK up to today, can anyone please help?

have you tried a restore back to when they last worked ?.
