How can I make my PC multiregion?

I have loads of region 1 dvds which I can't play, and I don't want to burn them all again, which is what I was previously advised to do.

I use DVD Region+CSS Free.

AnyDVD from SlySoft is popular and has far more features.

I can't get the first one to work. It just gives me a black screen
