Hi, please could anyone tell me where I can find a free or inexpensive way of protecting jpg files, so that when I email them to people, they can only be viewed by the recipient, and not saved/amended/copied. Many thanks.

It's a waste of time. Any image can be captured by a screen shot and manipulated and saved to hard drive, no matter what you do to protect it.
Try a website that hosts your pictures (such as Shutterfly), then, when you want to send photos to people, you send the address for them to access - no-one else can. It's free.
Sorry, bond, I probably read your request the wrong way - I thought you only wanted the recipients to have access to the photos. You mean that you don't want even the recipients to be able to alter the pictures (you don't trust them?).

Ethel was right.
If you want the recipient to view the picture but not copy it, I suggest you reduce the size to a few kilobites, which will prevent a good copy being made.
