http connections

My computer (and many other peoples too if the various forums are anything to go by) keeps connecting to an http site called 'murabba04.alfares.ae'. Anyone know what this site is and whether i should block it?

How have you noticed this? Is it clearly visible?

Either way, if you are not sure what it is, it may well be dodgy. Are you running anti-spyware, anti-virus & firewall. The firewall would typically stop this, connecting, and either the anti-spyware/anti-virus would prevent this from happening in the first place.

I would recommend doing a scan. Even with anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall protection, a weekly full system check is advisable.

the simplest test is "did you want to connect"
if the answer is yes ... you have no problem
if no ... you are being hijacked ... download ad-aware and spybot search and destroy (both for free)
