Problems with Outlook Express 6

I really hope some-one can offer some help here as I'm at my wits end. For no apparent reason, when I try to receive mail from my Freeserve account with Outlook Express -version 6, I get a message box. It says: Logon, please enter your username & password for the following server. I do this & thirty seconds later it pops up again the same & continues to do so. No mail gets downloaded & then I get another box pop up stating an error occurred: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your password was rejected. I've had a look at the help pages on MSN but to be honest there's so much jargon I don't understand! Any suggestions much appreciated, thanks.

Look at your account settings in tools,in Outlook Express.

Is it showing pop.freeserve.com or a series of numbers?

It says pop.freeserve.com
Iam getting the same problem here, my avg virus checker shows Freeserve, but mail server says Orangehome, did you manage to find an answer to this problem on your system?
